You know when you’re at a mall? That overhead map kiosk thing? Is there a website/service that works that way for cities? I mean, Google Maps and Yelp and all that are great if you’re looking for something specific, but I want to be able to say, “I’m at 55th and 3rd— what are all the businesses that are within “n” square blocks of me?”

this sort of works with google maps on iPhone when you search for “coffee” or “food” or “whatever” and all of the nearby pins fall into place, but it could be much better.
