the journey from a late-starting show back to the mainstage photo area for sonic youth was especially harrowing since it required me to deal with my pressing through and inconveniencing hundreds of people aversions, give up, and rely on the rulebending powers of kindly security staffers. the other pictures turned out better, in that you can see people’s actual faces, but I sort of have a soft spot for overexposed shots of loud bands.
