GPOYW: Where the Wild Things Are preview edition. I liked this movie a whole lot (though, weirdly, maybe I love the trailer more). It’s visually beautiful, yet almost slyly understated given the enormity of the visual effects. Max is insanely adorable, Karen O’s soundtrack is affecting, the wild things are an astoundingly good fusion of realistic and dreamlike.
