The artistic pedigree for the current series of Levi’s commercials explains why the films are so outstanding: directed by Cary Fukunaga, still photography by Ryan McGinley (who also shot the SIgur Ros album), sound clips from Owen Pallet / Final Fantasy, and conceived by Wieden+Kennedy (who also did maybe the most beautiful commercial of all time — Nike’s 2002 Winter Olympics campaign [youtube]).
