I've Had Enough (or, Jakob Lodwick quits the internet.)

The last one really pushed me over the edge. Not only do these people attack me online, but they recognize me in real life. That’s the kind of thing I don’t want to think about while out and about.

While there’s no excuse for people using the internet to be cruel jerks, it’s hard to get worked up about someone who posts pictures of himself near-daily being recognized in public. I was in NYC for about three days last year and think I recognized him on the other side of a bar.

 I also allow that my experience of tumblr is probably weird because I haven’t gotten around to “following” any other users through my dashboard.
