Jenny’s dowdy teacher is played by Rushmore’s Olivia Williams. This is good for a laugh, but ultimately it’s a bit disturbing that Olivia once played the hot teacher and now she’s playing the one unfamiliar with mascara.
Eleanor Morrow assesses An Education [This Recording], which ended just about as flatly as possible. So many of the buzz films of last season would have been much improved by leaving the last couple scenes on the old editing room floor or in the DVD special features (see also, A Single Man).
